TalkTalk13636 is designed for eircom customers to help you save money on your home phone calls without leaving eircom. It’s handy if you want to try us out or if you have agreed to sign over to us and are waiting for the Go Live date.
It’s easy – dial 13636 before your usual number and it’s routed through TalkTalk. Then you can talk for up to 60 minutes for only 6c to landlines. That’s less than the minimum charge for any length of call with eircom’s equivalent standard tariff. Tele2 and BT Ireland – cheaper calls from the very first second you connect.
You can use the service right away, however at some point, before one of your calls, you will be quickly routed to our customer services department where they’ll ask you to confirm your name and address.
Most direct dial national and international calls are cheaper through 13636. However, there are some calls you will not be able to make, for example premium rate services such as information and entertainment lines. If you try dialling these numbers you will be asked to redial, omitting 13636. Use of 13636 will override international call barring.
You will continue to be billed by eircom for your line rental, any apparatus and services eircom provides you with and for all calls made using its service. eircom will not charge you for any calls made using the 13636 prefix.
To use the Talk13636 service you don’t have to leave eircom, so you retain your existing line and number together with any eircom options you have subscribed to e.g.– Ring Back, Messaging, Caller Display, 1471, 3-way Calling, Call Waiting. Also as eircom still provides the line, if there is ever a fault with the service, it is still an eircom engineer who comes to fix the problem.
You save money because we can afford to carry the call on our network for much less than eircom normally charges their customers.
